I am not the loudest in a crowd, and never likely to be at the centre of things. But I love conversations and am loyal to my friends. I can keep a secret I can be quiet but that does not mean boring. I love travelling and have gone places on my own. Scarily exciting. I learned German by myself. Well using Duolingo!! Used to play sport but now simply watch. For fun I listen to music. I am fairly positive but have a dislike for politicians who promise something they then do not deliver, I want to meet someone to share some new adventures with-unless they involve skydiving and water Friends would say that I am serious but intelligent. Willing to go the extra mile for those I love and care about. Happy in my own skin but happier when sharing with someone who cares.. I love nice food, exploring new places, music and laughter. Love programmes like Mock the Week and My Family. And Folk and Country music. But not averse to Springsteen, Richard Thomson, Simon and Garfunkel oh and Disturbed who do an amazing cover of Sounds of Silence. Growing up I read encyclopaedias for fun so now have a head full of trivia. Handy some times in pub quizzes I guess. Oh and after a lifetime of playing sport my knee has said enough!! Awaiting a replacement.
Along the journey called life I have been held up at gunpoint in Cologne. Mugged in Nairobi. Been treated to lunch on the train from Strasbourg to Essen by a lovely Gynaecologist who knew I spoke no German!! Been sent through a car windscreen by a drunk driver. Anyone looking for adventure then you have come to the right place!

Someone who is funny, intelligent, loves to travel and likes good food. Someone who is caring, compassionate and considerate and happy to share good and bad times-preferably more good than bad. With me you will be taking a risk-but one worth taking. Not a very funny guy but have a liking for satire, sit coms like My Family , Two and a half men etc. For me deal breakers are smoking, piercings and tattoos. I am not into Armani and Gucci kind of styles. More of a smart casual type. I think I scrub up ok. But others are better placed to judge me on that score.
