Quick-witted, kind, likes a bit of warm banter and eats a bit more than he should. Some say he’s quite wise and maybe more emotionally intelligent than some - or perhaps just good at apologising? Doesn’t like bluntness or insensitive rudeness disguised as ‘straight-talking’
Makes a good dad to 4 adult daughters and several grandchildren, none of whom share his taste in music - classical, acoustic, 70s and 80s pop. Not surprising!
Likes laughing, chatting about serious things, listening to others and trying to suppress the odd judgmental comment about passers-by. Works a few days a week, training managers and leaders. Probably spends too much time watching TV, but only because his gorgeous rescue dog insists on it.
Needs rescuing from the dog and grandchildren to be with someone for meals, drinks, theatre, cinema or just a walk in the country or by the sea. Or snuggling up with Netflix american tv series. Don’t try to talk about sport though, his eyes just glaze over. He likes holding hands and a cuddle but is so gentlemanly you will need to tell him it’s ok.

My ideal match would appreciate a slightly dry sense of humour, enjoy laughing, be relaxed, kind, warm and up for evenings out or cosy nights in. She probably needs to like dogs and might have experience of parenting adult children. Some sort of intellectual compatibility matters, as well as physical attraction.
