This is one of my poems and describes my outlook....
If I could give something - a gift to the Earth
It would never be to challenge man’s birth
But rather to question the powers that be
And wholly encourage autonomy
We’d dance through our adventurous life
Without impending worldwide strife
Mistakes would be seen as footsteps to learn
Understood, supported, not causing concern
And we would all evolve and grow
No judgement, right or wrong you know
For all would always be okay
Stepping stones along our way
Its not the destination that carries the weight
It’s the journey that is so incredibly great
Full of adventure and free open roads
To wend our ways and shed our loads
So take to the wilds, friend of mine
Open your heart and let yourself shine
What could ever be more fine
Life is a wondrous draught of wine

My ideal fellow adventurer would be non-judgemental, compassionate and understanding - interesting and intelligent - a great and funny conversationalist.
Someone to explore the outdoors but not into heavy duty trekking or mountaineering - more picnicking and music festivals (not the really busy ones!!), paddling in the sea, exploring wonderful woods, lakes and moors. I'd like to take another holiday in a narrow boat - but any boat would do!
Someone to eat my cooking and watch great movies with would also be a gift :o)
