About him
I’m looking for a best friend. Someone I can talk to endlessly, laugh with, commiserate with, plan and share adventures with and cuddle up with at the end of the day. Sounds simple but it is proving far from it!
I’ve had an interesting and slightly unusual career with some quite unique and memorable experiences. That’s included living in the Midlands, the North West and the South West. So, I’ve been around a bit and had parents living abroad for many years. I've also done some travelling but have never been further east than Nepal. I’ve mostly worked in the arts and cultural sector, but also taught at a small University for seven years. I’m now freelance and involved in several festivals and other projects.
I like messing about in boats, I have a 33 foot yacht and do an annual trip to France or similar. It was a 4 week trip to southern Brittany this year which had some magical and memorable moments. I am very musical and am a so-so musician and perform from time to time in small venues. And I also love thinking, planning and writing. I quite like gardening, make a good curry and a potent and very drinkable Martini amongst other things.
I love cities, wildernesses, history, culture, travel and walking. But travel is only fun if you also have a good place to come home to.
I am looking for someone outgoing with a love of life, a love of sailing and the water, who wants to travel more, likes planning and has both empathy and good humour in abundance. If that sounds like you, it'd be lovely to hear from you!
