About her
Done a lot of moving in my life, quite a tumbleweed, some moves beyond my control others by choice but I have been grateful for the interesting opportunities and experiences. I have two lovely sons, long flown the nest, who are naturally an important part of my life but they are settled elsewhere, one in Europe and the other Down under. In the meantime, me, one weary dog and cranky cat, have recently moved to a place we hope to call 'home'.
So why am I here? I value solitude but loneliness can be its twin. I’m hoping to find someone to share the little and big things in life with but importantly enjoy doing things together. So, what is my definition of fun? Pretty simple. I appreciate the natural world (taught Biology for years), love walking especially by the sea; and discovering the joys and frustrations of growing one’s own veg, and I like helping in the local community and chilling at home. Have lots of unfinished projects on the go, some unrealistic, others just fabulous.

I've done a lot of travelling and lived in different parts of world, so travel for me is now more about seeing friends and family. But there are still things to see & do on the bucket list!
I'm hoping to find someone who is patient, tolerant and open minded. At this stage in life assume we all have baggage but looking for someone who isn't too bogged down in past upsets. This said totally get how important family and friends are. And I hope to find someone who isn't irritated by R4 which is usually on. Cooking isn't my raison d'être but I do enjoy a good meal and odd flurry with a cake tin.
