Friends would describe me as caring, intelligent, a good listener and a "go-to" person - keep my promises and always getting things done. A problem-solver with a positive outlook. I'm definitely not a party animal. Much happier spending time with my partner, or small gatherings of family and friends. I am an avid reader and animal lover. i have cats and dogs. My perfect evening - good company, a great film or just good conversation, a bottle or two of wine and an Indian takeaway! Or theatre and a nice restaurant.

My ideal match would be someone nice and kind (obviously!), intelligent, calm and tolerant, really great sense of (dry) humour. Someone who is independent and happy to be with a like minded partner who has her own interests. A non smoking animal lover (non negotiable!). Someone who is ambitious in the sense of always wanting to move forward in life - whether that be by learning something new, going somewhere new, or trying a new experience - for example, I drove to Liverpool with my daughter on New Year's Eve and we spent the night on a ghost hunt at an abandoned orphanage and asylum. Not something I'd do normally, but it sounded interesting so I thought I'd give it a go. Equally, a great day could just be wandering along a windswept beach in winter and stopping for a big mug of coffee at a seafront cafe.
