I am ex RAF and have lived and worked in many European countries as most of my working life has been spent in transport/travel/engineering and oil industries, so I appreciate hard work and logic with a mechanical bias. Under this rather unusual 'frontispiece' a rather demure, gentle lady of independent means is to be found, living in the countryside close to a beautiful river and picturesque woodland looking for an educated, gallant and chivalrous gentleman.
I have many interests including but not limited to herbal medicine, wildlife conservation, local history (particularly the UK arts and crafts movement), UK travel (exception being France), the French language, local history (particularly around the industrial revolution era), traditional calligraphy, textile art, paper-cutting, reading biographies and occasional watercolour painting.
I am very peaceful, love to laugh, easy to get along with, interesting and resourceful, with a set of good decent of moral values and a deep appreciation of 'politesse'.
