I regard myself as a kind, empathic person, my close friends say that I have a lot to offer in terms of ability, empathy, kindness and reliability, and can be quiet and reflective and somewhat shy at the beginning - they say that I can always be depended on and that they experience me as genuine and honest, and say I have a good sense of humour.
I have a positive outlook on life, despite experiencing difficult times.
Volunteering now I have time has become very important to me and has broadened my outlook on life tremendously… however I would really like to have a partner - a 'significant other' and enjoy they element of caring and sharing with a man that I love, and who loves me...a committed and genuine partner...a soul mate to share the highs and lows of life.
I’m not a great lover of cooking, despite which i make sure that I eat healthily - I like eating out but not elaborate food more of good and unpretentious restaurant. I enjoy walking, both by the sea and in the countryside - much more enjoyable with a partner!
Currently in the process of retiring … I am a counsellor/psychotherapist; I look forward to the opportunity of broadening my experiences and living my life to the full, in particular going to Jazz and Classical music concerts and various theatre productions; i would be open to interests/experiences that my future (hopefully) partner already enjoys. I also enjoy quiet times watching good films on TV.
I miss holidays, in particular Italy ( my absolute favourite) and have several, mainly European and UK destinations I’d like to see one day…
My daughters and their families live relatively near me, they are all very important to me .
