About her
I love conversation and being sociable. I enjoy cooking, eating & drinking real ales and wine (not getting drunk!), walking, badminton, photography and anything to do with Greece and travel. Sometimes though it is good to enjoy companionship whilst doing nothing in particular.
That was my '1st thoughts' overview. Just read some other life histories so it seems I should say more!
Leaving grammar school at 16 was normal in my day, even with a full set of O levels. My working life started in a bank, then various office work before selling accounting systems and early computers in my 30s and early 40s. I discovered Greece on holidays in my 20s. With my husband (who sadly died 2 years ago) we published magazines then books for grecophiles and were able to explore many parts of Greece. Greece remains an important part of my life, although maybe now is the time to explore elsewhere too. Travelling and socialising is so much more fun with a companion.
I have 2 stepdaughters and a niece with young children I consider my grandchildren. I recently moved to Didcot so although I've found things to do here mostly day times, it is not so easy to make new friends.

Ideally you will be sociable, a gentleman and have similar general interests to me, but also we could share and explore new pastimes and chat about whatever you are interested in. A good communicator, happy to talk about anything and to listen. Participating in sport is good, or just walking to enjoy the countryside and keep vaguely fit, but hopefully you are not obsessed with following professional football. Someone who is uncomplicated, who would enjoy chatting over a pint in a pub as much as a posh meal, looking for new places to explore, revisiting favourites, but also sometimes to comfortably do nothing together.
