About him
I am outgoing, talkative, progressive, and have a wide range of interests. I am a regular theatre and film goer and a member of a book club so nearly always have a good book to hand. I love being in the countryside and by the sea whatever the season, but I also love the feel of London and all the wonderful things it has to offer. I enjoy hiking as well as walking, exploring both city and country at home and abroad, and more adventurous travel. For me exercise is part of my everyday life, and I like swimming, tennis, running and cycling. I'm into all sorts of music - blues, rock, classical, jazz and 'world'. I am learning Italian as I love the culture and the country, and have recently joined an Italian conversation class. I like to think of myself as sociable, emotionally open, fun-loving and ready for new experiences!
I am retired after a career as a successful lawyer in the public sector, but I still do some voluntary work, including as trustee of a charity for people with Parkinson's disease. I have three wonderful grown up children who I am close to, and four lovely grandchildren.

Someone positive and sociable who likes to grab life's chances and is not afraid of intimacy. For me the ideal partner is one who is progressive in thinking with an independent mind, and who thrives on cultural pursuits such as film, music and theatre. One who is active, and enjoys exercise and the outdoors. Preferably someone who maybe up for more adventurous travel and hiking as well exploring cities abroad.
