About him
Hello! Thanks for looking at my profile. I hope that those who know me best would say I’m a friendly, grounded and positive person with a dry and engaging sense of humour. I’m sociable and get on well with people, especially if they’re good fun and have a bit about them. I’ve had 2 successful professional careers which have been both interesting and exciting. I’ve travelled the world, worked in many different countries experiencing different cultures and perspectives. Accomplished, practical and self-confident, but with what I hope is a good measure of humility. I admire traditional qualities; integrity, honesty, moral courage and good manners. I also have strong family values and am very proud of my son and daughter who both live and work in London - I try to see them as often as I can. I have varied interests - love sport and the outdoors. Activities include cycling, tennis, skiing and long country walks (using OS maps). Rugby is also a passion – now sadly reduced to watching. Interested in most worldly things including politics (without the boring bits), current affairs, history, art, reading and music. Love learning and planning new challenges - especially if they’re outside my comfort zone. So, really enjoy travel and adventure – but, the journey is so much more enjoyable when you can laugh and share it with someone else!

The qualities of my ideal match are necessarily descriptive but are definitely not prescriptive. I would love to meet someone with whom I can share a deep sense of connection - someone who is kind, articulate, elegant, self-aware and above all, a good person. I am hugely attracted to intelligence, enthusiasm and accomplishment. Such a person would be pretty special; someone I could respect, cherish and love. Someone who also inspires me to want to be a better person - who complements me and vice versa. However, it goes without saying that it depends on the magic, the spark and the intangibly mysterious connection that forms the basis of mutual attraction.
