About her
I am slim (size 10), aged 71, youthful, smartly dressed and out-going. I was a lawyer in private practice, mainly in Central London, then Oxford.
Happily divorced for many years, I have two handsome and successful sons, whom I don't see often enough.
I am confident, with a mischievous sense of humour; I am sociable, down to earth, not stand-offish. I am kind.
A regular exercise routine (cardio, weights, stretches) is de rigueur and I eat healthily...but chocolate is hard to resist.
I have a busy social life in Abingdon and Oxford but I also love London life viz. art galleries, ballet, opera, theatre, classical concerts; I am not averse to live streaming at the local cinema. I am a Friend of the NG, Tate Britain and the Ashmolean.
Eating out - fine dining or a pub lunch; I like the variety. Lovely lunch in The Perch in Oxford recently...or was it The Trout... how are you on ichthyology?
I am a townie at heart but I very much enjoy being in the country. I used to sail out of Lymington and go on riding holidays in West Wales but not for several years, now.
I enjoy the races; Ascot and Newmarket are my favourites but I haven't been for a few years since my racing companion sadly died.
Music: an eclectic mix - Bach to Wagner, Blues, light jazz, rock, etc. The Proms every year; Glyndebourne, occasionally - it's a bit of a faff.
Evenings at home - a suspenseful drama on Netflix; ToL; The Spectator; audio books; books on Kindle, even real books 'sensible to feeling as to sight...'
I enjoy cooking and I'm always on the look out for unusual ingredients or recipes; gardening - artistic rather than manual.
I have travelled extensively but now I enjoy the gentle beauty of Italy and France.

I have lots of friends, both men and women, but I would like to have someone special in my life to share that mutual, elusive affinity.
Are you du monde, confident, out-going, light-hearted, chatty, in good health, with an irreverent/mischievous streak? Great! Stick-in-the-mud types are not for me.
I don't expect you to like, or fall in, with all my interests - one or two would be nice. You may have your own interests to which you would like to introduce me; if you are an avid sports fan, that's fine.
I value my independence, space and individuality but if there's moonlight and music, love and romance...
