About him
I am intelligent, pretty well read, easy going, and obliging.
Currently I am writing a book about Poland and Palestine; fiction but the truth. It has female protagonists for I am a ladies man in a different style. I like being a man but I am not always proud of the sub-species. I am happily masculine but don't need to prove it.
My hawks, horses, and dogs, were alway female when I had the choice.
I love children, brats or saints, they make me smile.
I spend a large part of each year in the mountains of los Picos de Europa in Northers Spain where I have a house near the small town of Potes, Canatabria. It has been a wonderful place to live with mountain walks starting at the front door.
I am pretty well bound up with Spain, though my Spanish is atrocious (my excuse is I spent my time in the mountains looking for bears and wolves and they don't speak Spanish ). I have walked much of the country and a few years back, twenty or more, I rode an Arab x Andalucian gelding some 1500 kilometres around Spain, alone and unsupported; it was one great trip. I said above I preferred mares to geldings and full horses but I acquired Ben unintentionally when I came across Gitanos trying to back him in a forest glade, apparently making a poor fist of it. So I bought him, as one does, and decided after the purchase to make the ride. I was wrong about the gypsies making a poor hand of it. Ben was an amiable devil who would buck me all day then, once secured for the night, escape and come looking for me and, as a rule, he would he would find me. Once though he escaped and went awol until I heard from the police they were holding him in a prison cell, without charge, in a small town about thirty kilometres distant. Took a long time to live that down.
I look a tad fraught in the three centre photos 'cos I was being bullied by grandchildren!
I live alone in the centre of Hereford in a big old Georgian house which I rattled around in.

Lord! How hard a question is that? I know exactly what she would be but find it impossible to describe as it would come out like a shopping list.
Kind, friendly, generous, funny, patient (she'd need to be) etc. But mostly, the indescribable bit, which is, I'm afraid, indescribable.
