I never thought I would be using an online dating site but fate dealt its hand and here I am.
I am considerate, caring, loving and gentle.
I have lived in Somerset for over 40 years. Love the area, walk and cycle whenever I can, particularly like getting to the coast (Dorset and Devon). (Not a hiker, walks no more than 5 miles and I have an eBike (have a spare one too!))
I am retired so have time to visit places, go out for meals, theatre, films but also like to stay in, be at home, in the garden (summer) or in front of the fire (winter). Not keen on doing all this on my own so looking for that hand to hold, somebody to hug, someone to be there.
I volunteer at a charity shop, volunteer driving, canal lock keeping (summer months!) and work with two amateur dramatic groups in a backstage/technical capacity.
I have 4 children. One currently living with me. Other 3 live in London (1 girl, 3 boys).
I keep myself healthy and fit but am not a ‘keep fit junkie’. Go to Pilates classes and swim regularly. Ideal partner would also look after themselves and like to keep fit and healthy. I am not a brilliant cook but always prepared to have a go and it is certainly an activity to share.
I have travelled a fair bit abroad, not done so for a few years (pandemic, late wife’s illness) keen to travel more as soon as possible.
Looking for a good friendship first and then hopefully a full and meaningful relationship if that friendship develops successfully.
