My ideal partner is a kind, like-minded soul who shares my passion for walks, personal growth, intelligent, thoughtful conversations as well as the lighter side of things and getting out and about to make the most out of life.
I am interested in a lot of different things and I love learning - lying on a beach all day is my idea of hell - don't get me wrong, I love to chill out but the world is far too interesting not to get out and explore. Having said that, I'm not one for fast cars, extreme sports or anything 'showy' - I much prefer the gentler side of life - history and culture more my thing.
Deal breakers for me are intolerance, unkindness, anger/aggression and ostentation - generally I can't bear fuss and I much prefer someone who is calm, happy in their own skin and grounded. I'm the opposite of a drama queen and happiest with people who are easy going and thoughtful.

I first met Lynne a few years ago at a training course for Speakers and since then we have become good friends meeting in lots of different situations.
Recently we joined a group walking holiday in Shropshire and shared a bunk - not done that for a good many years!! I'd injured my knee and Lynne was fit enough to climb the ladder to the top! I can vouch first-hand that she is a considerate room-mate, didn't keep me awake snoring and provided a lot of laughs. She is also a serious minded loyal lady who takes the time to check in on how her friends are doing.
When I first met Lynne, I was immediately struck by her warmth and compassion. She has incredible intelligence and interest in learning. If you like to win, don't challenge her to a game of articulate - she will beat you hands down!
As well as being a lovely person, Lynne is effortlessly smart, even when casually dressed, and I have to confess a slight envy of her hourglass figure. She takes time to look after her health and keeps her mind active with a keen interest in politics and the arts.
Recently she suggested we set up a book club with some other friends and we are looking forward to our first session which no doubt will involve a little wine and lots of laughs in addition to the serious discussion.
Lynne has navigated a difficult time recently with the change in family circumstances but has held her head high, looked after herself and those around her and now deserves to find someone special to enjoy her life with. I wonder whether that special person might be you?
