Well, my friends have described me as a ‘Bloody Good Bloke’ who is kind, caring, good company, sociable, loyal, honest, has a good heart, or at least that is what they say to my face.
I am all those things plus I am upbeat, positive, and relaxed, easy going, tries to see the funny side of life especially in dark moments, can laugh at myself, laugh every chance I get, views situations from a different perspective, and a good listener. Can be a bit quiet at times, creative, imaginative, unconventional possibly a bit eccentric and a quiet rebel. Perhaps you could let me know if I’m right? 😊
Love exploring new places in the UK and overseas, potter around flea, antique markets, old book shops, going to the cinema, theatre, live music, exploring museums, art galleries and historical sites. A big six nations rugby fan, like history, love old black and white films. Always learning, exploring new ideas, however I can be a luddite when it comes to technology…. can’t understand why there seems to be an ‘APP’ for everything these days, especially for washing machines?. however willing to be educated otherwise.
I’m generally active but not obsessive that it takes over my life, I run a couple of times a week including doing Parkruns. I cycle when I can, usually during the summer. Enjoy a good walk, trek across hills, along canals, rivers, coastal paths, etc. Enjoy the countryside. Not into extreme sports but will have a go.
Struggle with people that are negative, materialistic, fussy, lazy, and won’t try anything outside of the comfort zone.
Current life aspirations to reduce time working, travel the world, exploring more of the UK, learning something new, remain active as long as I can, grow old disgracefully, continue to enjoy doing random and unexpected things, tap into my rebellious nature. ….. do you fancy coming along?

I don’t think that I have an ideal match, however, someone who can take me as I am and not be judgemental, someone who wants to take the time to actually get to know me.
Smiles, fun, laughter, easy going, positive outlook, optimistic, honesty, open, trust, caring, generous, warm, who is relaxed with their own skin are definite attributes that aligns with mine. Plus, someone who is tactile, good listener, not afraid to get muddy, wet and rough it on occasions as well as enjoying the finer things in life.
Enjoy similar interests would be nice but not necessarily essential as I feel that there is opportunity to learn something new from someone else’s interests. Someone who enjoys the busy and quiet times. Sharing ‘just in the moment; experiences’ with someone special as well as making adventures.
I'd love to have a fun and relaxed conversation, maybe over a cup of coffee or a casual dinner.
