Back here again after a while away and hoping for a fresh start in 2024 with a soulmate to enjoy all the ups and the downs of life 😊. I believe that life is meant to be shared and I'm excited to explore the world of dating to see who I can connect with.
I bring no baggage and am looking for a fresh start. I am fit, trying to be slim, 68 (only just “run-in”), own hair, teeth and everything works! I like to keep fit by walking, cycling, the dreaded gym, and downhill skiing. I generally dress casually in jeans or chinos, am always well-groomed with short greying blonde hair. I wear varifocal glasses 🤓 - really only needed for reading - but this way I can't lose them!
I have been divorced for 7 years, and have 3 grown-up offspring who are now forging their own lives. Personality wise I like to think I am both sincere, warm, tactile, and spontaneous. I am passionate as well as caring and understanding of others.
DISLIKES: Package holidays, cruises, soap operas, reality TV (except Master chef and Grand Designs!), fast food, selfishness. arrogance and above all dishonesty....
LIKES: France, beaches, beautiful sunsets, mountains, powder snow, local produce, country pubs, a good book, Bordeaux, and fresh bed linen.
Why not make ourselves a promise to really appreciate those things in life that we often take for granted, simple things: a pub lunch, a fireside cuddle, a day-trip to the beach, holding hands....and you will have to wait before I cook you dinner!!
I cherish my friends and family above all else and looking for that special one to share life's rich tapestry. I believe in embracing every moment and making memories that will last a lifetime.
My photos are all recent so no surprises. Honesty is my golden rule, and I am hoping for a genuine connection with someone who is ready to embark on this journey through life with me.

You will always have fun with James, what's more he will look after you and you'll never run out of conversation. If you travel together or visit a museum or exhibition he is always interested and interesting as well as being well informed.
James is also quite domesticated and always helps with cooking, dishwasher duty etc. a great galley slave and always pulls his weight if we go away as a group of friends.
Finally James has lots of good friends - some going back to university days and some skiing mates - always a good sign when people have friends I think.
