About her
I’m grounded, caring, funny and smart and looking for someone similar.
My working life in London took me to some amazing places from Alaska to Zanzibar and I have plenty of stories to tell! These days I spend more time on the beach than the keyboard and I’m looking to broaden my social circle and meet positive people (who preferably work part- time) so we can enjoy excursions, adventures and quality time together.
I love to talk and laugh plus I’m independent and drama free. I try to achieve a good balance of everyday joy and adventure - from gardening, baking and beach walks with my delightful pooch to mooching along the Southbank, going to gigs and exhibitions or flying somewhere for a change of scene.
I feel lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country but there are lots of wonderful places to experience so I'm open-minded about where you live. I regularly visit London, Chichester, Tunbridge Wells, Blackheath and Bridport. I've lived in Devon and have family roots in Shropshire and Dorset. During the blustery coastal winters (so that’s about five months of the year then), I wonder about going somewhere warm for a few weeks. Everything is so more fun in the right company.
For me, happiness is: being in the moment, a shared sense of humour (I’m still guffawing at The Peep Show after all these years), great communication and a willingness to compromise on both sides. Of course it all takes time. Shall we start?

If I think about my friends, they tend to be good communicators, well read, quick to laugh. A creative streak, social conscience and willingness to dance round the kitchen to K C and The Sunshine Band or the B52s a plus. Being kind to the dog and good spelling are non-negotiables!
