Firstly - I do my best to be friendly, kind and generous - don’t always succeed, which is why the following are important:

A lot of people seem to be asking the same question - I certainly am, and the question is often expressed as “Where did all the laughter go?”
Probably my greatest desire is for a close friend to share a sense of humour with.

The future:
Now that I’m no longer full time carer for mum, I want to get out on the road exploring every corner of Europe for a few months each year - my style of travel is to enjoy the journey - not fixate on the destination.

NB: I’ve been single for over 10 years, number of reasons, but mainly that the stress and strain of relationships always seem to ruin a good friendship - certainly as much down to me as to any of my partners.
So I’m more interested in a dynamic friendship than romance.

Finally (some important info):
Realised my photos were up to 4 years old - so added some kitchen selfies.
AND I’m 70 not 65 - I’m told I’d be filtered from a lot searches if I headlined myself as 70.
I never conceal my age when I meet people in real life, in fact I’m quite proud of it - but on this kind of site, maybe it can be justifiable to engage first, and give the full fact later.
Selfie photos are October 2023 - so you can see I don’t look 70 - at 6’ 1” I weigh 74 kgs / 11.5 stone, have a body fat percentage of 18% and go to gym at least 3 times a week.
