About her
You won't really know me from reading this but maybe it will provide some clues? 🤔
Not a 'salesman' (my working life has been on the chalk-face of education and care) and I'm inherently wary of what might lie behind the initial eye-catching headline. As I have to sell myself here, I think anyone who knows me well would say I'm good company, fun to be around, an optimist (well you really have to be to be doing this don't you? 😅), confident, a good listener, friendly, loyal and someone who tries to help whenever there's a need. I've heard I'm considered someone with 'no side' and I'll happily take that as a positive.
I'm independent in practical things and not completely adverse to travelling, visiting places, going to events and eating out on my own - though of course I wouldn't be here if I didn't think it's better to have the company of a special someone to share those pleasures with.
I enjoy good conversations over a wide range of subjects and I like quiet times and my own company too.
I spend time in my garden, go for walks, take classes at the gym including pilates, yoga, circuits and generally keep pretty active each day. Hobbies/interests in no particular order of priority are: theatre, cinema, watching a variety of sports, NT, some museums, art galleries, visiting gardens, am a member of a book club, watching a good drama on TV (but never the soaps), Radio 4 in the background or many types of music via Spotify, concerts, nice meals in or out, a coffee and catch-up with friends, and of course I hugely value time spent with my family.
I have volunteering interests too and have enjoyed travelling quite widely in Europe and further afield for pleasure not work. While I enjoy foreign and UK travel/holidays, I am not driven to regularly seek these out - I like my home and local things too. Two elderly moggies are also part of my life.

Great qualities in someone else? Who wouldn't want honesty, charity, loyalty, humour, kindness, empathy, and all the usual best human traits of course (a big ask); and I guess in addition, spontaneity (an ability to spell that at least!).
Someone who continues to have an inquisitive mind, believes learning is for life and remains for the most part perpetually optimistic.
To enjoy sharing together existing interests in common, to explore new ones and a preparedness to give some space to each other. Above all to bring light and happiness into each others lives. 🤩
I am generally openminded, probably see most sides of all things and in shades of grey rather than black or white, (nothing 'novel' related there 🙄). That said, smoking in any amount and of anything is a deal breaker for me.
I almost never take selfies and avoid being in photos if I can avoid it so struggled with that part of this process. Hopefully the reality is nicer than the images 😊 I am 68, not 28, 38 or even 58 so come with some signs of wear and tear. If you're looking for a showroom model, I don't think you'd be my match either 🤔.
