About her
I'm friendly with a good sense of humour. I love travel, I've led an interesting life and want to go on more adventures with the right person. I love the outdoors, especially if I'm by water, but I'm also happy to watch a film and have cosy nights in.
I read a lot from all genres but I'm particularly fond of fantasy, sci-fi and crime thrillers.
I recently went on my first solo holiday abroad on a cruise to Norway and have been slightly bitten by the cruise bug. It was on a very small ship and I don't think I'd want to go on one of the enormous cruise liners. I've booked my next cruise on the Night Skies of the Canaries next year.
I'm a member of a gym but don't go as much as I used to do before the pandemic. I've recently started swimming regularly to get back into it. I used to windsurf and sail small dinghies but I have a bit of arthritis in my knees now (thanks, old age!) so I can't do that any more. I also used to horse ride but I only go very occasionally now.
Some of my favourite places to be are Snowdonia, the North Wales coast, the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands. Mountains and water are good for the soul.
I have a touring caravan which I love but don't get enough use from - it's not quite the same on your own. I also have a second car as a hobby - an old Mazda MX5.
I'm mostly in jeans and tee shirt - or shorts and tee shirt when it's warm - but I do scrub up well and love dressing up for an occasion.
