About her
I'm smart and fun. I laugh a lot. I'm a Professor of Philosophy. I love my job. I also love dancing and travelling. I've recently spent a weekend in Berlin, techno clubbing with a (male) mate and seeing the sights. I'm going to Sicily soon with my (female) neighbour, and am going to Hamburg and Barcelona later in the year for conferences. I've travelled quite a bit with work. I'm an optimist. I'm not a stereotypical female. I am logical, organised, hate shopping, and am excellent with maps and maths. I tend to find (and offer) practical solutions to problems. I am fiercely independent and value independence in others. I've brought up my (brilliant, wonderful, kind) son on my own, and since he'll soon be off to university, I'm excited to have more time and less responsibility. I plan to hang out more with my friends, but I'd also love to meet someone to enjoy life with. I'm up for a walk over the hills, a swim in the sea, a cycle in fair weather, and badminton, tennis or table-tennis. I'm not up for bungee jumping or sky diving! Exploring new (or old) cities is always good, followed by a drink or a good night out, especially dancing.
