About him
I‘m an honest chap, my interests include walking, cycling, going to the theatre, cooking, meeting with friends and I enjoy weekends away and holidays. I have a lovely border terrier called Bonnie and walk with her each day.
I retired following my career as a chartered engineer (studied in Bristol and Durham) Before retirement I lived in Newcastle upon Tyne. After retiring I taught business studies locally in Bath (where I live) for a couple of years.
I had a very happy marriage and unhappily became a widower 11 years ago. I have three children and four grandchildren from 6 months upwards and see them as often as possible. I have a happy lifestyle and ideally hope to find a new partner and soulmate in time.
I have a wide range of friends who I see regularly. I am a spiritual person and have a strong faith and also attend the Quakers. I sing in a choir who performed St John Passion last Easter. I also play the piano but not very well! I feel that I am quite creative enjoying painting on canvas in acrylics
I also enjoy travel in this country and abroad, cycled 40Km each day from village to village in Brittany last summer and walked in North Wales and Scotland in the autumn. So please do not be put off by my age. I am one of a rare breed with no health problems, I eat healthily (enjoy cooking), drink occasionally, have never smoked and am pretty fit.
