I love the outdoors. Being in and amongst nature especially mountains but equally at home on a lovely beach. I like gardening especially growing things to eat! I have an adventurous spirit and love to travel and see new places.
My family and friends are important to me and I enjoy socialising when possible although, as Covid has taught us, you have to be comfortable with your partner. I love cooking and dare I say it, am pretty good at it! A nice romantic meal at home is a must.
It goes without saying, I love to try new restaurants and cuisines at home and on my travels.
I like cricket and have made tentative steps towards playing golf again🙄 Fallen out with football a bit but always Huddersfield Town fan, man & boy!
I like watching F1 and hope to be at this year’s Spanish GP.
Occasionally I like being ‘crafty’ when the mood takes me. I’ve had some lessons in watercolour painting and often take my pencils or brushes on holiday ( not always getting used though!)
I love history and art and coffee, so wandering around the Ufizzi Gallery in Florence followed by coffee and biscotti is up there! Equally show me some Roman ruins and I’m away 🤣🤣
Being a nature lover I’m comfortable with animals of most types (except maggots, oh and slugs 🐌!!)
Big reader, love music and have a wide range of musical taste, like you wouldn’t believe !! I also sing in a choir ( not a church choir, although I was a choir boy as a youngster! There you go, mike drop🤣)
So, as me, I guess people would hopefully describe me as a warm and affectionate, humorous, loyal friend (or dad). I hope they would see me as a sensitive person they can confide in.

Life has had its ups and downs and in the Autumn of my life I am looking for that same warm, affectionate and honest partner to share the rest of my days with as a friend, companion, partner, lover. However it works out? 🙏

I’m looking for someone who shares some if not all of my interests. I guess that’s stating the obvious but maybe to simply meet for a coffee and a chin wag and if we click,then a companion for socialising or possibly travelling (separate rooms of course!)
