About her
Friends describe me as funny, friendly, kind, generous, unpretentious and authentic. I'd like to agree but I'm too modest!
I hail from The North and moved to Devon from Cornwall about 7 years ago and love it here. It was the rolling hills and River Dart that captured me and I've grown to love the moor and coast.
I have a good work / life balance and love pootling about on my allotment, though I won't say no to a play, good film or concert. I like a change of scene and a break from routine and enjoy weekends away: I've travelled a lot so a city break or camping is fine. I do love a spa break!
I don't watch TV much these days and swing between Radio 4 and 6 Music. I enjoy a good read and good food (growing, cooking and eating).
I'm not into sport at all and am happiest when I'm spending time in nature, walking and swimming. I love dragonflies and had one tattooed on my forearm this year. I've no plans to have any more done as less is more.
Friendship is very important to me and I have a good circle of close friends. It would be nice to find someone to be cute and romantic with though. I think I'm pretty straightforward and self aware and like to keep it simple.

I'd like to spend time with someone who is comfortable in their own skin and who has a positive outlook on life. I'm practical and realistic but appreciate romance and romantic gestures.
I'm pretty happy already so I'm not looking for someone to light up my life or make me feel complete, just someone to share my happiness with and who wants to share theirs. I'm not a complete Pollyanna though and if the going gets tough, I'm not the sort to ditch you in your hour of need and you'd be there for me, after all.
I don't think there is such a thing as an ideal match, but kindness, a sense of fun, curiosity, patience and openess are important personal qualitie that help smooth out the ruffles. Honesty and integrity are essential for any sort of relationship to work.
If you share my interests and/or can bring something new to the party then that's great. If you are selfish, dogmatic, ranty and take my need for some occassional "alone time" as a personal rebuke then it isn't going to work, sorry.
