Greetings! I am a fairly well-rounded woman (pun absolutely intended) looking toward retirement in about a year or so!

I would love to spend my “golden years” with good friends and perhaps another amazing partner. I am fairly outspoken, enjoy traveling and exploring varied cultures. Museums, live theater, music venues, and historic sites are some of my favorite places to spend time.
On the more rural side, I love horses, dogs, cats, and most animals. I'm pretty happy in a well looked after barn. Activities I enjoy include writing and creating. I have a range of hobbies from collage to leather working. I used to blacksmith as well. I am a jack-of-all/master-of-none.
I love enjoying the beauty of the countryside and the bustle of cities. I am hoping to make friends, and it would be lovely to find a partner who shares some of my interests and encourages me in the others -- I promise to do the same.
One truth I believe is that we have to pursue happiness, it isn’t owed to us, and we generally get the most when we help others achieve it. I am passionate about my belief that we love people and use money, not the opposite.
I am a widow of almost ten years now. This was followed by a wonderful relationship for about 7 of those years. That relationship ended a bit before Christmas and I do miss having a best friend & companion for all the good stuff, and to help each other through the less good stuff. Not sure exactly what I'm looking for beyond that, but you never know ...

Janette is a great friend, a beautiful person inside & out. She's very loyal and always willing to be there for her friends.
