I'm at a stage in life where I trundle along quite nicely. And so I'm (again hopefully) pretty relaxed about most things. Perhaps you are too.
The brain's the most important thing. That doesn't mean I want to meet someone with a PhD, although I don't mind if I do, but being able to natter about stuff other than what (dare I say) would drive most blokes potty - such as anything involving the expressions 'Strictly' or 'BakeOff' - would be handy.
And liking mutts would be useful, as I've got two 6 month old spaniels, which completely kn*****ed me for the first two months but I wouldn't be without 'em.
And enjoying a beer/glass of...
I'm also a bit of a rugby nut. Someone once described rugby as GBH for gentlemen. How apt. Sadly, age, weight and ability now prevent me from clattering/being clattered about. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy watching others do it. Which I do, and maybe you might too...
On the boring side, been retired for ages now. Had my own business, did OK, so fairly comfortable. Now I only do stuff that I'm interested in - example, I have a fairly busy relationship with my old Business School, to which I put in a fair bit of time.
As I don't work I try and keep the brain in gear by testing it with daft puzzles like the DT crossword, SuDoku (Killer preferred), Quordle and stuff like that. Read a lot. Enjoy my silly little vroom vroom during the summer (and no, not telling here). Interested (and occasionally vocal) about current affairs inc politics - crikey, wouldn't you like to thrash some of them at the present time - but not affiliated to a particular direction. Dislike 'woke' and extinction rebellion (or whatever it's called), and very skeptical about 'climate change' and the potentially nefarious undercurrents involved...
So, there we have it...
