About him
If you asked my friends about me I think they'd say my greatest strengths are my outgoing, friendly nature and kindness. I'm Scottish but have lived a long time south of the border and am happy here. Home is where the heart is, and that's family. They'd probably describe me as quirky and fun to be around, and a great story teller (and no that doesn't mean I'm an inveterate liar.) I love cooking, nice wine, music, irreverent humour, beach walks, and watching a good documentary.
Humanist, epicurean, music lover, nature lover, and animal lover. I've been known to meditate (am a former trauma therapist), and trained in mindfuless before it became a bloated industry. My happy place is in the kitchen cooking, listening to music and sharing good wine with friends and family. As politics seems to be important on here, I'll say upfront I'm a libertarian which means I wouldn't be a good match for someone who is intolerant of opposing views. Overly woke need not apply.

Looking for a coup de foudre, but there's probably more longevity in a slow burn. Ideal match would be someone reasonably intelligent and humorous, who can laugh at the absurdity of life in these strange times. Humour, a happy disposition and self-confidence are sexy. Someone who likes dogs (I have a big bouncy Rhodesian Ridgeback), music, and would enjoy meeting my children. Someone who appreciates good food and wine. Someone tolerant, and not closed off to other people's opinions. Someone who would get my humour and dance with me in the kitchen. Obviously distance is important but surely we'd go to the ends of the earth for the right person. Also sometimes going somewhere else for the weekend can be fun. Someone who actually wants to meet and not just talk for weeks and weeks. Tempus Fugit and all that.
