About her
So, who am I? Honestly, that’s hard to say. I’ve had a wonderful life but I’m anxious to meet someone that I can share the rest of mine with! I think that life is short (I know, it’s a cliché but is so true after 2020) and I believe that I have a lot to offer! I have a wicked sense of humor and a sarcastic overview of life! I was born and raised in the Midwest by two wonderful middle-class parents. I grew up with good morals and a strong work ethic. So, my recent retirement (taught Costuming and Makeup for Theatre at a local college for over 30 years) has left me looking for ways to fill my days. My father taught me to not be afraid of a little hard work and my students taught me that you can probably find what you are looking for on YouTube, so I’ve been doing a lot of home repairs and remodeling in this past year.
While I’ve never been afraid of hard work I also know how to get cleaned up and have a nice time out! I’m looking for my next chapter. I’d like to get to know you. I am looking for a long term committed relationship, but I also know that in one date we may not make that connection right away. (sorry, I’m kind of a realist) This past year, being pent up in my home has been excruciating! I love being social. With retirement, I have plans to do more traveling. I already have trips planned to NY to see Broadway shows in Nov and to visit Hawaii in March. I'm a fan of wine, bourbon and whiskey and went to Scotland several years ago and returned with several bottles of single malt scotch (sadly, they are all gone). I have no children (always wanted) but have a dog (Shepherd and boxer mix from the pound) and 2 cats! I'm independent but also love being taken care of (who doesn’t?) I love everything Theatre and lately (well not last year) have been singing in a jazz choir and acting and costuming a couple of plays. I’m hoping to meet someone who shares similar interests and yet at the same time I’m open to new ones and hope that you are too!

My ideal match llikes going to see "live" theatre; especially musicals. I recently returned from New York and hope to go again soon. Additionally, I love to sing and try my hand at Kaaroke. My teaching meant that I didn't travel uch and I'm working on doing more, I currently have plans to go to NY and Kauaii and am looking to take trips to Europe and more, so I would hope that you are up for some traveling!
My last relationship thought that it was my role to "take care of him", well...that's decidedly NOT my role, I think that a relationship mustt have give and take nad that we should both be able to step up for each other and our needs.
