About her
Hello! I am an originally from the U.S. but have studied, lived and worked in the UK for nearly 16 years. It is definitely my home now although I still love and miss my home country too (the people, not the politics!). I have also lived and worked in Japan so am very interested in other countries and cultures.
My friends would describe me as an interesting person who is open-minded and fun to talk to and also a very genuine person who strives to be kind and thoughtful to others. I am also very independent.
I am politically left of centre and strongly support women’s rights and the anti-racism movement. My ideal partner would also be kind and genuine and have the same beliefs.
I have a good sense of humour and love British sarcasm (ah Blackadder!) so am looking for a man who likes to laugh.
I love animals and would consider myself a dog person. Although I like cats, I’m highly allergic to them unfortunately so can’t be around them.
I like long walks in the country or city (just exploring in general really), reading, movies, music (love 70’s music!), traveling (in the UK and abroad), history/family history, and trying new things. I like hanging out at home and watching a movie as well as going out for a drink and good meal.
I’ve been separated for 4 years now and am ready to meet someone new. I’ve reached most of my life goals but would love to be able to set new goals and have new adventures with someone special.

My ideal match is a man who is kind, thoughtful, caring, genuine and a political/social leftie.

You should have a good sense of humour and like to laugh.
Obviously having some of the same interests and liking to do some of the same things would be great, but it doesn’t have to be an exact match as I am open to new experiences and hope you are too.
