Never married, well educated, outdoors man, seeking same but in a womanly form :-)
Born and lived in the UK until age 34, I have also lived 3 years in France, 20 years in Australia and hold dual British and Australian citizenship. I initially had a high pressure corporate international business and marketing career within big multinational telecommunications companies, traveling frequently and extensively throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific region. I then returned to university in Australia at age 40 to complete two more degrees in ecology and environmental science and then moved into academia as a university researcher and lecturer in business & environmental management. I am now retired. I have never married as I have sadly not yet met the right lady. I'm rather traditional in still believing in ladies and gentlemen with good manners. The most important qualities to me are integrity and compassion for others. I'm fascinated by our natural environment - mountain walking (eg Kilimanjaro; Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit in my younger years), ski-ing, scuba diving, 4WD driving and canyoning in remote areas are my favourite outdoor activities. However, I also love walking and cycling in the UK's beautiful countryside, preferably combined with a pint of good ale and roast dinner afterwards! I also enjoy the finer aspects of city life: diverse cuisines, overseas travel and experiencing different cultures (this year I have been exploring Tenerife, Cyprus, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil. and my future plans include walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain). I also enjoy theatre (I'm a great Shakespeare fan), art galleries, museums (especially science and natural history), music festivals, reading a good quality newspaper over good coffee, and second hand bookshops.
