I am a retired psychotherapist and university lecturer and missing the stimulus of my work and the wonderful relationships I made then. Was living in wonderful Chagford, Dartmoor but decided to move to Brockworth last year to be nearer to family. I love music and choir, gardening, walking in wild spaces. I lived in the US -in Connecticut -for 15 years and loved that too. I enjoy travel - I spent a year living in Germany with my artist daughter and her family, the year before went with Servas to Thailand. I have 7 grandchildren (three in Australia) and one great grandchild - family visits are important to me....but I look for more friends and even someone special to be with. I am a little shy and need warmth and kindness to draw me out....

I wouldn't like to define my ideal match too closely - everyone has some special quality to find attractive. Sharing interests helps though! I have strong political views - I am so disgusted with what has happened in the UK in recent years (and the Trump years in the US!) I have had both heterosexual and lesbian relationships and recognise that kindness, mutual respect and integrity are important qualities to be shared whatever sexuality or gender you claim. A deal breaker for me would be any hint of red flag toxicity....
