About her
Life is a hard teacher, but I'd like to think I have taken on board some of its lessons. Making the most of the now, not forever looking back or thinking too hard about the future is how I try to live my life, which all in all is a pretty good one.
I am a single, independent woman who runs her own business and has a young and very intelligent 16-year-old daughter who keeps me on my toes! I try to keep fit and active (she helps with that).
I have practised yoga for many years, am a member of a health club and enjoy long walks in the countryside or beside the sea (who doesn't these days?)
I love a good laugh and spending time with my friends, many of whom, are now spread around the country. I have travelled to lots of different places abroad during my lifetime, but also love exploring good old Blighty. We live on a stunning 'island' and there is always something new to see around every corner.
I am also something of a news 'junkie'. I want to know what is going on in my community, my country and the world and form my own opinions about things.
I think my friends would say I am loyal, caring and always have time to listen and chat with them. They might also say I am modest about my achievements.

I am looking first and foremost for friendship to see if we are on the same page albeit with some differences. I am not looking for someone who likes all the things that I do, but I might draw the line if our core beliefs and values are too far apart.
It would be nice if you were the kind of man who knows his Merlot from his Malbec, enjoys socialising and eating out. Having an artistic bent and being well-travelled would be a bonus.
Someone who is confident and finds it easy to mix and chat without others, considerate and interested in the world and believes that honesty is always the best policy.
