About her
Sunny, lively-minded, active lady, really enjoys being out and about, socialising, and being in stimulating company. I’m reasonably fit, in pretty good health and independent; a former University Researcher with maths/sports science background, regular activities include walking, tai chi, ballroom/latin dancing, swimming and choir.
I am interested in (but not very knowledgeable about) art & architecture. I love travelling (fortunately, as family members are in far flung places!); I like the snow but do not ski, nor play bridge/backgammon, and no good at telling jokes, though enjoy listening (and willing to laugh politely at old ones!).
Always try to be economical with Earth’s resources; good with a sewing machine, understand the offside rule, can change a plug (not that you need to do that much these days!)
Likes (in no particular order) : concerts; theatre (inc am-dram); eating out; visiting houses/gardens (& RHS member, though sadly own garden could do with a bit more attention !); music - esp classical, classical crossover, opera, rock; musicals; all kinds of dance; walking in fresh snow; smelling lavender. Loves Marmite (!), and enjoys Matt cartoons in the Telegraph 😄
Dislikes : waste/litter; TV soaps; reality TV; country & western music; motor sports; football culture.
Not unhappy with my lot in life, but would enjoy being part of a duo who make each other’s hearts smile 😊.

Reasonably fit, intellectually compatible, with similar and/or complementary background; someone with whom to share some laughter and some lively conversation - a light-hearted, fun, kind man (who scrubs up well for smart occasions!), with a twinkle in his eye, and a bit of sparkle in his soul 🙂.
I really love dancing (especially ballroom) so extra brownie points if you like to dance, plus if you have the looks of George Clooney/Richard Gere or the charm of Inspector Montalbano, that would be awesome !!
Failing that, some wit and humour woven into your ‘About him’ description would also be attractive !
