About her
I am black African, mum who singled parented my children by default. I enjoyed my journey even though difficult more of the times. I have come a long way alone. I suppose I'm here looking for a friend who would understand me and accept me and all that I am and have.
I have lots of friends. I find myself often time acting as a relationship counsellor and yet haven't been in a relationship for years. My friends find me trust worthy and dependable. They are always assured of confidentiality when talking to me about their private matters. I have always been the glue that holds different circle of friends together. I tend to find myself being called upon to solve problems, often times of subjects I have no knowledge of, I then try to read up on the net in order to have that conversation with the friend. I have been almost all things to friends and has caused me exhaustion and occasional withdrawal from my social circle. At this stage of life I am looking for someone to share my concerns with, I don't want to be the one with all the answers, mind you I'm not talking about academic or professional excellence, although I had a BA Hons History decades ago.
I work in Health and Social Care, advocating for the vulnerable in the community. It afforded me the flexibility I needed in my private life while helping individuals achieve their goals in life.
In my private time I spend my time either browsing on the internet, observing my quiet or taking walks. Oh, not to forget time on the phone to my friends. I live writing, taking short courses online, dining out with friends or time with family.
Just hit my diamond year and find that my food preferences have changed, however, I keep it simple, green, more savoury than sweet.
