About her
I am looking for a true, loyal friend, confidante and lover! I may be a naïve romantic but I am looking for a connection on a visceral level. I need a man who is confident in his own skin, independent and enjoys his own autonomy but knows he has someone watching his back, his wingman(woman) and has complete trust that I will be there for him and vice versa. I want a relationship that allows the other to thrive and grow knowing that when we come together it is out of want not need. I am a loyal, warm, compassionate, energetic, curious, resilient person with a dry, slightly wicked sense of humour. I’m very much a girly girl and whilst I love my jeans I also love dressing up and putting on bright red lippy! My other favourite colour is pink. I want someone to take me in their arms and dance round the kitchen and then hike for miles in the countryside. I love walking, especially by water, running, yoga, lifting weights and have recently joined a Rock Choir! That was coming way out of my comfort zone and although I love singing, I am no Stevie Nicks or Adele! I love live music and adore acts like Bruce Springsteen, U2, Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles I also like more contemporary artists such as Ed Sheeran and Adele; we recently did Perfect at Rock Choir! In spite of the fact that I like to keep moving I also enjoy the stillness of meditation and reading....but am open to new and interesting experiences. For example, I have recently become an experienced solo traveller simply because my children live abroad (Bermuda and Japan) and whilst it was a little scary I now know I can navigate the perils of security at Manchester Airport unaccompanied. I am an optimist by nature and secure both financially and emotionally, however, it would be lovely to find someone who would enjoy eating my cooking as much as I love preparing it! I am a retired teacher (A level Psychology) and now have the time and space to devote to someone special. My profile picture was taken in February this year.

I am looking for an easy going, kind, brave, cheerful, gentle, funny and affectionate man who cares passionately about his family/friends. I would find you irresistible if you made me feel safe, valued and listened to. I value my independence and autonomy and would reciprocate that need in a man knowing that we would come together for 'us' time. I love impeccable manners and a man who cares about his appearance enough to exercise and nourishes his body with good food plus if you smell divine that would be a great bonus! I adore a man who is sociable, is a good communicator but would also allow himself the confidence to be vulnerable. I love spontaneity and my retired status allows me freedom and flexibility to do what I like, when I like with whomever I like! I love intelligence, but am drawn to men who are emotionally available and trustworthy and recognise that being a male is challenging in today's environment. Being a man often comes with negative stereotypes around being emotionally strong and resilient and for many men that is simply not the case, but I believe I have a nurturing nature that would respect our differences. I am not precious or needy but have an empathic approach that hopefully will give a safe platform to explore what might be, but also encourage trust and respect.
