I love the sea, it's shades, it waves, its secrets. I could spend all day on a warm or cold beach or river, exploring the beauty of...water. I'm a water baby. I prefer the sun to the cold but generally enjoy being outdoors.
Longing for: weekends away, drinking red wine on a picnic à deux, Sunday breakfasts and talking over the newspapers as we rise above the occasional hangover. I do not have many no-no's but no happy clappy church goers, all atheists and agnostics welcome. I'm looking forward to indie theatres opening up again and travelling around the UK, which to my shame I have not explored very much. My clubbing days are quite happily behind me and I prefer to listen to my reggae and jazz at home with decibels a little below what my teenage me enjoyed! Covid has turned me into a true Netflix binge watcher and I am open to watching all sorts but I do have a penchant for sci-fi movies with a Thai takeaway. Oh yes, Gogglebox is non negotiable. I wish I had come up with such a simple, entertaining and probably lucrative brief! I tried salsa and tango and I would happily return to salsa classes. You too?!
Love: walks on the hills and a stroll in a park is just as special as jumping on a plane to a wonderful destination or snorkelling in the Indian ocean; it just depends on who you're with. I would like to find my Mr Right, who is mature but acts his shoe size not his age, to travel with. So, looking for an African/anywhere but Europe adventure, for a two three month, post covid-restrictions backpacking tour. Join me 'my (African, Caribbean) partner in crime'.
I have discovered I enjoy upcycling furniture and I would also be excited to start a new business with someone. What? Food, upcycling? Property? Who knows!
