About her
Bit of a longshot, but I really do want companionship, rather than 'a partner' in the traditional sense. So many of life's experiences are better shared - from a simple meal, to outings, to holidays.
Traditional 'coupledom' suits many people, but there doesn't seem to be a site for those of us who are happily single, sociable and enjoy the company of the opposite sex.
I would love to hear from you if any of this resonates with you. I'm often told that men are 'visual' people and nobody will read my profile if there's no photo, but I nurture the hope that there's a man out there who knows that finding a like-minded companion is a better indicator of compatibility. Having said that, I don't think I'm Quasimodo - and a photo is available if you 'favourite' me after reading this.
Interests – water colour painting, cinema, theatre, time with friends, walking the dog, music, nature, gardening, learning new things.
Values – honesty, compassion, kindness, generosity of spirit, optimism
Politics – pro-Europe, left of centre, green. It's all about values, not political parties.
Passions – Animals, especially dogs, nature, music - have eclectic tastes. Oh, and humour - I laugh readily (genuine mirth, not dementia).

I'm looking for a happily single optimist. A companion, a good friend. It would be so nice to have someone to hang out with and share some of life's lovely experiences.
My ideal companion is somebody who has his own interests and passions, some of which he is happy to share. He's open to discovering new interests, making memories, going out, staying in, travelling, staycations. He's intelligent, a good communicator who enjoys debate, but he's not freaked out by companionable silence. There.......no pressure!
