About her
I am warm, affectionate and vivacious, a good listener (as well as a good talker,) thoughtful, usually kind and easy going. I appreciate stimulating conversation and enjoy socialising with family and friends but I’m also quite content with my own company - reading or taking long walks in the countryside with my dogs. I enjoy taking photo’s whilst out walking and this has become an interest I’d like to develop.
I enjoy visiting National Trust properties and open gardens, art trails and galleries, churches and Cathedrals as well as pottering in antique/junk shops and markets. I love walking/hiking in the countryside or on the local beaches, which in Essex consist of mudflats which whilst not exactly the Aegean, have a quirky, almost other worldly beauty - think The Essex Serpent.
It is the countryside, my garden and music, that I turn to in order to relax and switch off from the world. Whilst I love these solitary times I miss the company of a good man to share life with, whether the days out, the holidays, the down days or to sit together in the garden at the end of the day sharing a meal, a glass of wine and mulling it all over. So if you are interested in walking the Wainwrights or just sharing some of the journey then do get in touch.
I do need to let you know that I am not planning to retire at the moment as I am lucky enough to still enjoy my work.

I would like to meet someone who is open minded, tolerant and compassionate, who enjoys lively conversation and can also be comfortable just being quiet together. Someone who can be reflective about themselves and others, who has experienced the hard times as well as the good and has retained a sense of fun and curiosity about the world we live in.
I don't think a good relationship just happens, it is a work in progress requiring attention, effort, some compromise and the capacity to understand the others perspective even if you don't agree with it as well as the ability to laugh and forgive.
It probably is a prerequisite that you like dogs and I need to let you know that I am not planning to retire at the moment as I am lucky enough to still enjoy my work.
