Hi,
Thanks for dropping in to look at my profile.
I'm YorkshireGeek. I was born in Wales and moved to Yorkshire over 30 years ago. Bradford is an interesting & vibrant place, which I like but I'm not necessarily going to be here for ever
I'm finding this bit is hard to write, as I don't particularly enjoy writing about myself! I also don't have much idea what you'd find interesting!
I'm 54 and have been divorced for a number of years and single for longer than that! I have three adult children and two share the house with me. We also have 2 dogs and a cat. The dogs are Irish Setters; we've only just got the second puppy (very sweet but hard work! Situation normal for pups though).
I work in IT in a rather specialist field and am doing ok at it.
I like music of many genres and enjoy the odd live performance & festival. In general, though my out-late days are past... A good boxset or a book, a glass of red and, maybe cheese & biscuits are of more appeal now; especially after a good walk.
I do spend a bit of time clay pigeon shooting and used to be a reasonable shot. I don't shoot game though.
I'm not a culture-vulture but I do enjoy going to the theatre or the cinema too
In general, I'm quite intelligent and reasonably well read but I'm no academic! I get passionate about current affairs and usually know what is happening in the wider-world. I'm reasonably in-touch with my emotions and know that I'm also capable of overthinking things!
As I said, I'm not sure what you'd like to know, but I'm happy to chat and see where things go!

In general, a personality with independence, honesty, equality and life experiences is attractive to me.

I'm so glad Matt is on here. I won't write too much as I wouldn't be able to do him justice, but I would start by saying his profile is a good indication of who he is. He's self deprecating, intelligent, interesting, compassionate with a wicked sense of humour, the sort of person you could talk to for hours without even realising. Beneath the slightly gruff exterior he has a kind soul, a big heart and a generous nature. I would encourage anyone with a lust for life to give him the chance and get to know a man who will make someone an excellent companion.
