About him
I'm John, aesthetically an average, "normal" bloke but for those able to look beyond any prerequisite "tick box" called looks, an honest, straightforward one with old fashioned values, perceivably being taken as being a tad formal until I get to know people. Critique from both friends and what were before retiring, works colleagues would suggest I'm articulate, reasonably intelligent, have a good sense of humour and am above "average" in the decorum and manners department. an easy going, unobtrusively confident, secure (unpretentiously, I'd like to think both emotionally & financially !!) bloke with a positive (even my half full glass can always be topped up !!) outlook, excellent sense of humour (though yes, I do tell jokes badly, very badly !!) and an abundance of T.L.C. earmarked exclusively for ONE to which I especially value fidelity, mutual respect and trust because I believe they are core virtues and values to be embraced and upheld in a monogamous relationship, therefore something that would be sought equally reciprocated. DON'T do mind games, don't have materialistic traits, don't do moods and am decidedly and definitely NOT a "player" !!." I'm averse to both shouting and arguing, I would rather if there are differences, discuss a problem through and sort things out rationally and in a mature manner, but equally that's not to say I'm a "pushover" of appeasement either. I also view a relationship as a place to give as well as receive !!!

someone with whom to share the metaphorical roller coaster highs, lows - laughter and tears of everyday life - a caring, affectionate, open minded, sensitive but "level headed" conversationalist who enjoys a good laugh along with a pillow fight !! someone comfortable in both jeans & T shirt or the evening gown., (sartorially, I can equally conform when the occasion requires !!) someone for me to be there solely for conversely her for me and who even at this stage in life is not averse to be seen publicly walking out hand in hand, someone who intrinsically has the same standards and values but in the sense of personality perhaps not a "carbon copy"(heaven forbid - only joking !!) of myself. Whilst mindful I'm looking for an awful lot in someone, I don't seek or indeed expect "perfection" as I'm certainly not that and I don't and won't "fake" at being it either ! that said I do confidently know that I can EQUALLY reciprocate the self same virtuous values sought.

I have known John for some years now and what can I say. He is a very interesting and intelligent man with whom you can hold a logical and intelligent conversation with. He is exceptionally kind hearted and regularly puts others first. John is very much a get up and go, get it done kind of guy who never lets the grass grow. Whilst sometimes a bit apprehensive of new things or situations he gets himself together and follows things through.
All in all, John is a true gentleman, honest, loyal and fun to be around. For a special lady out there you will have to go a long way to find someone like John to bring you happiness, trust, humour and loyalty.
