About her
If you ask me if I am a glass half full or half empty kind of person, I would be grateful just to have a glass. I have spent the last year wanting to feel sorry for myself, but being so grateful for everything I do have: other than that someone to share that glass with. I am genuine, straightforward, honest, reliable, unpretentious, with what I think is that good sense of humour that every person in every profile you will look at thinks they have, albeit veering towards the quirky, and suffering acute appundecitis on occasion (pun definitely intended) but although I take seriously anything I commit to, I cannot take the world or myself too seriously as life is too short. (If you have spotted too many "thats" in the above, you have already earnt a few Brownie points!).
My life before the lockdowns was doing amdram, art exhibitions, dog-walking (not my own any more after he'd reached a grand old age, but anyone else's I could borrow!). Since lockdowns, I have appreciated the everyday beauty in nature, even more intensely than before, and rather than just dog-walking I would love to find a companion/soulmate to explore new places with. I'm not going to waste my vaccine when I get it: I want to make up for lost time, not just in the last year, but in the last few years. I miss good food (that someone else has cooked!), conversation, finding hidden-away places and places not-so-hidden-away.
I have my fingers crossed I will find someone to share the coming months and years with, but it makes it very difficult to type if they are crossed for too long....
