About her
I am a positive and outgoing person, with an irreverent, mischievous way of looking at life. I'm pretty easy-going and generally see the funny side of most things. I think that if life gives you lemons there's usually something to be learned from that and - if all else fails - you can always slice them into your G&T.
Four years ago I graduated (finally!) from University with a BA in Fine Art and Creative Writing. Then I spent three years travelling around Europe (with my late husband) in an old, American RV, blogging about my journey, and working on the children's book that I'm writing.
I'm now benched, in Berkshire, so will be getting on with that soon and also pulling my paint brushes out again soon.
I love music (well, karaoke), animals (not slugs), travel (obvs!), good food (I can cook all sorts of weird stuff), the arts (I'll weep before the curtain has even come up at the ballet), books (am still mourning the loss of Terry Pratchett), and ... films. I will drive you crazy watching films, because I'll talk all the way through (What was he in? Just pause it, will you, while I google it?). However, if we go out to the cinema I behave really well, especially if bribed with ice-cream.
I'm a bit obsessive about interior design, and am irresistibly drawn to all things kitsch (my family just think I like 'ugly stuff'). I live on eBay and in charity shops, because I think there's already plenty of stuff out there (this is fine, as I can sew brilliantly and up-cycle like a dream).
I'd say my main flaw is that I always speak before I think. But, as I rate honesty and integrity very highly, I also secretly consider this my superpower. Am also quite sweary, kinda like Olivia Colman is. So bear that in mind, lol.

Looking for someone laid back to the point of horizontal, kind (obvs), generous of spirit, and so open to the ridiculous that they might be the secret love-child of Joe Lycett and Sarah Millican.
I'm not into the gym, or lots of madly energetic activities - prefer a book or a box-set or a paintbrush. I genuinely don't mind if you are - I'm just unlikely to be doing them with you. Cook you a nice meal for you when you're done tho.
My favourite thing is to go somewhere I've never been before and just mooch about. Walk, take in the sights (spectacular, or truly crap, not bothered), buy a tea-towel (don't judge me), stop for a coffee, watch the world go by. Be nice to share that with someone again.
And If I can find someone who makes me laugh so hard I snort tea out of my nose, so much the better.
