About him
A less than traditional path through life. While I have had a marriage, family, homes and a couple of careers, I am no longer encumbered by any of these.
I am presently taking a short break from the UK - on a road trip in search of less depressing weather (as you will see from my latest and main picture)! While I will definitely be returning, I haven't yet decided where I want to be and there is nothing specific at present to tie me to Leamington. Geography is therefore not necessarily a factor.
I remain close to my 3 sons but they no longer need me to steer them on their respective courses.
Now retired although working on some options for involvement in meaningful activity, most probably as a volunteer. I am not looking to simply vegetate.
My age doesn’t lie, but I keep on being told I don’t look it and certainly don’t feel/act it.
What am I? Calm, tolerant and confident. Fiercely loyal, passionate and chilled. Iconoclastic, so never one to follow the crowd. An anchor to those around me, tempered with a sense of mischief and a good dose of the unexpected. Emotionally stable despite life’s rollercoaster of ups and downs. Dragging no significant baggage, rather a fund of experiences and a few good stories.
I still like watching live music. Smaller venues rather than the O2 or Wembley. Theatre - intelligent and/or entertaining, but not musicals. Food – eating and cooking (2 of my sons are trained chefs).

A definite spark, shared passions, get up and go (but happy to relax in comfort). Recognising each other's space. Excitement in things we do and in each other. A smile that melts my heart.
Someone to share and enjoy activities, who has values that I can connect with and with whom I can have intelligent conversation - but can do lowbrow as well! A sense of positivity, joie de vivre and a can-do attitude.
Bright conversationalist, witty and easy to be with, affectionate and tactile. Happy to share part of your life with me, but retains and respects independence. A sense of humour is a must.
