About him
About me... (a) since leaving the services, I've gotten into abseiling, parachuting, kayaking and extreme texting (getting a signal on Everest is a bitch, by the way). Or (b) I'm confident but not loud, caring, honest, loyal, hardworking, I treat others how I want to be treated, I make great tea and I multi task (I can do much of the preceding SIMULTANEOUSLY). I'm creative (working on my 5th novel). I enjoy my life a lot (the usual - movies, reading, hanging out with mates and having a drink and a laugh) but I want to enjoy, and do, more with someone special.

I'm not into checklists (though if you're rich, elderly, and easily startled then we can talk).
After all, you can tick all the boxes but if the chemistry ain't there...
So the point of this is to meet, not e-meet, someone new (even if it's excruciating these things, like kidney stones, do pass).

I met John at work about 4 years ago and from day one we just hit it off. Having said that there is no one I know that takes a disliking to him when they meet as he is so easy to talk to and has a brilliant sense of humour (and no, he didn't have to pay me to say that)! I would also describe him as very creative (he's a published poet and is currently writing a book in his spare time), patient (he has to be with me around), considerate, and is one of the few people who never says a bad word against anyone (even the barmen at closing time - he leaves that to me)!
So he is perfect guy right? Almost, but I don't want to blow his trumpet too much so to speak. So if I had to point out one flaw it would be that he can't cook (I'm sorry John but sticking something pre packaged in the oven and heating it for 30 min's is not what I call cooking whatever you say)!
He's passionate about history, writing, red wine, cheese, books and music. He hates getting a suntan (I'm convinced he is part vampire) and flying.
As far as what John is looking for it is difficult to say. However, I think he would like someone to be creative, fairly strong-minded, a bit independent and someone who could keep up with him on the drinking front!
