Quiet, long-since divorced homebird with a passion for gardening, cooking and dogs. Love walking, skiing and yoga although currently not as active as I'd like due to an ACL injury. Definitely not a party animal, although I can be sociable when required! Love good food, select gatherings with friends and family, board games and quizzes. Can't stand smoky atmospheres, people who don't listen or horror films. As a linguist, I'm firmly anti-Brexit and have a very pro-European stance, enjoying exploring new countries and cultures.

Would love to meet someone who shares my interests, particularly good food, gardening, dogs or walking in the countryside. Should probably be fairly active, yet quite cerebral too. Claire has been a close friend for over 40 years - we met in Germany when we were working in the same office as students. She has a good sense of humour, which has definitely been required when bringing up her two sons! She still loves to travel, especially when it can be combined with great food and drink. We have shared a lot of funny moments but none that I'm willing to share!
Claire's profile is honest about her interests but you should know that she is besotted with dogs. She is a keen and very knowledgable gardener, and an equally keen, knowledgable and excellent cook. Both of these activities happily claim her time, but it is wonderful to be on the receiving end of her efforts. Whilst she says she isn't a party animal, she is very sociable with people and groups she knows so it's really a point of initial shyness. She likes playing games but be warned that she is quite competitive.
The bits you really need to know? For all her good humour, she doesn't suffer fools gladly and has been known to occasionally be a little bit impatient when really tested. She also is most definitely NOT a morning person and rarely goes to bed until well after midnight. She is bright and curious, and you need to be the same.
