About him
The years pass by fast, but, for me, it’s never too late to meet someone special. I’m youthful in spirit, fit and healthy, thoughtful and kind, and a romantic at heart. My photos are recent, with photos 1, 3, & 5 taken in July 2025.
Home is my garden - a place of azaleas, rhododendrons, magnolias - and my favourite spot is under the quince tree where I sit, relax, and dream, hopefully, of meeting you.
Travelling widely over the years - for example, to Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, Reunion, Argentina and Brazil, the Falkland Islands, Canada and the USA - has given me a deep appreciation for people, culture, and the joy of shared experiences.
I’m a retired university professor who still writes, speaks, and occasionally appears on radio and TV - photos 3 is from a tv documentary due to be broadcast in France and Germany this year - but I’m no dusty academic.
I enjoy laughter, warmth, and making everyday moments feel special.
