About him
Semi-retired professor of philosophy still active in research and writing, working collaboratively and giving occasional talks (trained in both the natural sciences and the humanities, doctorates in both). Have been politically active at times and very worried about encroaching authoritarianisms and nationalisms in the world. Actually fortunate to have citizenship status or permanent residence in 30 countries. Widely travelled, father of wonderful daughters, enjoys the company of animals and plants as well as interesting people. Happy to drive on either side of the road (and world class parallel parker!). Prodigious appetite for theatre, hiking, culinary creativity, cultural exploration, dinner parties with friends, wildlife, thinking, thinking-with, and being-with. Fairly old-school when it comes to keeping commitments, appreciating reciprocity, generosity, personal sensitivity and loyalty. My rule of thumb is that when and where a friendship would be mutually enriching it should be pursued.

Just as interested in new friendships as in traditional romances at this stage of my life.
