About him
I like to think of myself as someone with essentially a gentle nature who tries to be aware of others needs although with all the years spent in the corporate world it was necessary to develop a harder protective outer layer. My philosophy now is that life is too short to play games in terms of relationships, I think it is important to be honest on important things but have to admit that the answer to "does my bum look big in this?" will always be a diplomatic "no, of course not".
I like living by the sea with lots of nice places to walk, sit and have coffee while people watching plus when the weather's good lots of good places to eat outside near the sea.
It's also an area that has a creative atmosphere with lots of live entertainment going on in Brighton and a creative fraternity in nearby Lewes. This is fortunate as one of my main interests is music and currently I'm trying to learn to play the guitar, mainly electric. I've also been lucky enough to be involved with some young musicians over the last few years acting as unpaid manager, roadie and transport. I also like the cinema and theatre and whenever possible I get involved with the Brighton Dome as a volunteer.
I try and keep as fit as possible with swimming, cycling and walking being the main ways of doing this and have to admit that it's been a while since I've been to the gym but beginning to think it's time I made a re-appearance.
Since being freed from the constraints of full-time work I have discovered that there are so many amazing, exciting and interesting things to do and places to explore but that it would be so much better to share these experiences with someone.
