About her
This part isnt so easy is it? I enjoy discovering new things and visiting new places, but equally happy to walk out in the countryside/along a beach/by a river. I love the sea and waterfalls.
Music and Art are strong interests; seeing live music/theatre as often as possible. Though not especially skillful at Art, I love use of colour and easily get absorbed in the process; attending workshops/ exhibitions when I can.. In the recent past I belonged to a Samba drumming band (and with much excitement) have played on stage at local festivals and street parades.
Exploring our island or visiting further off places; there is still so much to discover: so I'm keen to make a list and share those travels and destinations. I love train journeys.
Family and friends are very important to me and like to see them as often as we can all manage, whether a sociable gathering or a simple coffee / glass of wine and a natter. I am lucky enough to have a close family and some very good friends whose company I enjoy hugely. Like many parents, I am immensley proud of my daughter, of her achievements as well as the person she has grown to be; I have a wonderful relationship with her and also have a very good relationship with her husband who I am genuinely very fond of.
I am interested in people, curious about life in general and still want to do things. I work hard, but not overly ambitious or materialistic. Life has to be good balance of working to achieve financial security but also stopping to enjoy the sun on your face, a fabulous sunrise or sunset. I love the Moon.
Sometimes I feel there isnt enough time to cram everything in: I wish I had learnt a musical instrument. I wish I had been better at languages (esp Italian/French) and envious of those with linguistic skills. Instead I shall sing and am learning to dance.
In closing, I think I am a feminine woman, who enjoys the physical closeness of a partner, but independent enough to develop and pursue my own interests too. I like my hand to be kissed.

Curiously, many people seem to be looking for very similar things: and yet it is that undefinable quality which creates something transformational; from friendship to relationship ..... and so the magic begins: someone to laugh and giggle with, someone to share interests with, someone to share a friendship and a life with; from the everyday life things to the making adventures happen things. A certain smile .....
So: absolutely a soul mate, with kindness, honesty and a generosity of spirit. A good communicator who is happy having a chat to real good discussions, is easy company socially and who shows interest in people. Someone comfortable sharing affection and loving gestures. Both similar and different interests (isnt it great to learn and discover new things?).
Friends and family are important to me, so I feel that similar family values would be important, as this might be an indication of (possibly) integrating lives together (over time). That might sound a bit cautious, but no rush, develop things from a solid friendship. Someone actively enaged in life and doing things, whilst also happy taking things easy and companionably doing nothing from time to time, cooking together, sharing a glass of wine, or just a cup of tea.
Characteristics such as: working hard enough to achieve career success whilst seeing that work-life balance is important. Honesty and reliability are equally important to a sense of fun and adventure. Planning for the future as well as taking the opportunity to seize the moment and do something spontaneous. Share your hopes, make a 'doing list' and start doing them.
Oddly enough, in writing this outline, it is quite probable that meeting someone completely different to what I thought I was looking for could emerge from nowhere and take me to completely different places! Such is life's interesting, curious journey. So although I think I have a 'list' of some sorts, I am also keeping an open mind ....... are you too?
